After several weeks of siege, SDF allowed goods and foodstuffs into the remaining areas under the control of ISIS in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
According to the correspondent of the “Euphrates Post,” the SDF “opened the road leading to the areas of control of the organization, but only one direction, which is for civilians who are able to leave the areas,” ISIS, “with the strict prohibition to enter any civilian, Except for traders.
The correspondent pointed out that the move to open the way, comes with the continuation of the cessation of hostilities between the two sides, despite the declaration of “SDF” supported by the International Alliance led by America,For the opening of a battle to eliminate the organization in the last strongholds, but it lasted only for a few days, without any change in the map of control, except for a simple progress in the Hajin, which is in control of the entrance to the city only.
Our correspondent pointed out that the process of opening the road, which started on Sunday morning, was only in daylight hours, to be closed again in the evening, before reopening on Monday morning.
The suffering of thousands of civilians has been exacerbated within the areas under the control of the ISIS, as a result of the siege imposed by the SDF and the International Alliance on the one hand, and the regime forces on the other, in an attempt by both sides to take the policy of starvation as a means of subjugating the remainder of the organization from villages and towns to the extreme countryside East of Deir Ezzor, and on the Syrian-Iraqi border.
During the siege, the International Alliance aircraft dropped leaflets calling on the organization’s fighters to surrender, but for the first time they showed drawings and pictures of hunger and thirst.
It is noteworthy that ISIS is still controlling a number of villages and towns in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in addition to the city of Hajin, including Abul-Hassan, Abu Al-Khater, Al-Shaafah, Abu Al Hassan, Abu Al Khater,Where the elements control the organization on both sides (Shami and Al Jazeera), and attempts have been made for months by the “SDF” and the Assad regime to control them.
