The Euphrates Post correspondent in the city of Al-Mayadin in the Deir ez-Zor countryside said that the commander-in-chief of the Iranian militia honored one of the local leaders in the area this morning.

He explained that the Iranian “Hajj Hussein” (the security and military official in Al-Mayadin region) invited “Bassam Hashem Al-Satam” known as “Hajj Abu Hashem” to his residence in the security square in the “Al-Tammo” neighborhood in the city of Al-Mayadin.

Al-Hajj Hussein honored the aforementioned with an “honor” medal called the “Qassem Medal,” in reference to the former Iranian Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani.

The honor came for the efforts of “Hajj Bassam” in the process of recruiting young men into the ranks of Iran’s militias, as he is the official of the affiliation office of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, in addition to his role in recruiting cells in the areas controlled by the “SDF” to carry out offensive actions and spread rumors in the areas of the international coalition.

“Bassam” hails from the town of Thiban, which is under the control of the “SDF” and is considered one of the first to join the Iranian militias, accompanied by his father, “Hashem al-Satam,” who is the commander of the “Al-Akidat Brigade” militia of the Assad regime.
