Exclusive sources have disclosed to the “Euphrates Post” website new information published for the first time about the new leader of “ISIS,” “Abu Hafs al-Hashimi,” as well as secret plans and meetings recently held
According to the sources, the organization’s leader, “Abu Hafs,” was present in Idlib province but left two months ago, heading to the Syrian Desert (Badia al-Sham), which is under the control of the Assad regime and Iranian militias
The sources also indicated that the new leader of the organization held an emergency meeting with four high-ranking field and military commanders from the organization’s first ranks in a mountainous area near the city of Palmyra, immediately upon his arrival in the desert
Among the leaders who attended the meeting was a man named “Shaddad,” an Iraqi national, who holds the position of “Wali” of the western Euphrates sector, referred to by the organization as “Wilayat al-Sham.”
Also present at the meeting was a commander named “Al-Shayeb,” also known as “Al-Hajji,” who hails from the town of Hawi al-Dhiban in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. He is considered the primary official responsible for the areas east of the Euphrates, which the organization calls “Wilayat al-Kheir.” Another attendee was “Abu Muhaimin,” who is responsible for collecting financial tributes (known as “Al-Kulfah Al-Sultaniyyah”) imposed by ISIS on wealthy individuals and merchants in areas under its control in Syria

During the meeting, the organization’s leader requested the activation of what is known as “external security” and the execution of operations in European countries in the upcoming period, under the slogan “Revenge for Gaza.” According to the sources, the leader of the organization, “Abu Hafs,” is seeking to flee to African countries with the help of a smuggler from the Bedouins who control smuggling routes in the desert
The sources also reported that the organization is currently suffering from a lack of financial resources and relies on support from individuals in several European and Arab countries, with funds reaching them via a neighboring country to Syria
Regarding the “Tribal Army,” supported by the Syrian regime, the sources stated that ISIS provided support to them at the beginning of the “Tribal Uprising” through a man named Mohammed al-Bukhait, known as “Abu Al-Ghamid,” who was arrested by “SDF” forces during a raid on his home in the city of Al-Shuhail about two months ago
However, the organization later declared the “Tribal Fighters” apostates, ceased its support for them, and ordered their targeting after they became affiliated with the Syrian regime and Iranian militias
